Salon Policies

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe space for our artists, students and guests to be themselves, relax, learn, grow and enjoy.

Salon Policies

By entering into our facility you are agreeing with these policies.

Noise Pollution: Please wear headphones when listening on your phone to help us keep a serene environment

Parking: Please park in the parking lot with the black gates labeled "409 Canal" (located on the opposite side of the building from the Kinsmen parking lot) and walk down the brick trail - we are the third door on the left hand side. Walk in and you will see signs for the salon. If the parking lot is full there is a giant parking lot across the street from the 409 Canal Main Entrance. Use the cross walk and enter the same way!DO NOT attempt to use the employee entrance located on Canal Street. This is for employees only and does not have a cross walk. Please use our main entrance.

Children are welcome in the salon by appointment only. Although a majority of children are incredibly well-behaved, our mission is to provide a safe and relaxing experience for our guests and artists. Since we are a large team, we are working on reducing the amount of people in the salon especially on the salon floor. Children are welcome in the salon only if they have a reservation. Management will give verbal reminders in-person if this policy is violated.

Please do not bring anyone to your reservation. Due to the size of our salon, the pandemic and our desire to create the best environment possible for our clients and staff, we cannot have guests of guests on the floor or in the reception area. If you have one guest with you they may sit in reception if it's not busy but if you have multiple people with you they will not be allowed inside The Network. Please have them stay in the building common area outside of The Network or in the car. Management will give verbal reminders in-person if this policy is violated and ask the guest to stay in the building lobby outside of the Network or in the car. The only additional guests allowed on the salon floor are parents accompanying a minor or guest with special needs who has an appointment.

Hair services, payments, questions, concerns and adjustments are between you and your stylist directly. The Network is a booth rental salon and all stylists are independent contractors running their own independent businesses in our facility. They simply rent a chair at The Network and operate their own independent entities. If you have questions about your hair please contact your stylist directly.

Product return/exchange policy:If you are not satisfied with products purchased directly through the Network we are happy to swap them out for a product of equal or lesser value as long as they have only been used 1 time and are 99% full. We cannot issue refunds on open products. If the swap out is a higher priced item, the guest is responsible to make up the difference. We cannot swap out products less than 90% full and do not issue refunds on products that have been opened/used. If your product is unopened we are happy to issue a return or swap out within 30 days of purchase with receipt.

Mask Policy: Masking is optional at The Network and we respect everyone's decision to mask or not mask. Any discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

Vaccine Policy:The Network has not mandated vaccines for management, artists, clients, students or teachers. Although a high majority of our team is vaccinated we will not disclose anyone's private health information. Any discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

Dogs are not welcome in the salon unless there is permission from the management team. The Network loves dogs, but cannot allow all clients to bring a dog since we already have two dogs in the salon almost full time. Please call the salon 860-426-3642 and ask permission the day before your appointment. DO NOT bring a dog here without notifying your stylist or management. Dogs in the salon must be leashed at all times and with the dog owner.

Stylist booking/no-show policies: Please be mindful of your stylists booking and no-show policies listed on their artist pages. If their policies are not clearly listed, please ask for their policies before booking a reservation.
